The Fuzz

I have been on the quest for a good sounding Fuzz Pedal. I have tried some of the popular brands- Boss, Digitech, & EH, Dunlop Fuzz Face. I have not found one that sound like the tones in my head. Any suggestions?

I have been on the the Fuzz search my self. I've found it in DAM. The king of Fuzz pedals is DAM Differential Audio Manifestationz. He has many styles and they all are great. They are handwired and are rare. Due to the popularity he sells direct via auction or buy-it now on his UK ebay. He announces what is going up for sale/auction on his site DAM Direct on the below link. Or you can try to get one off ebay they are in the 300-500 range.

I have the 1966 which is killer.

I have an Crucible Fuzz SI good Stooges pedal.

I have tried a bunch also including Analogmans various pedals plus all of the major brands. Nothing beats these two.

I guess we will have to put our collective ears up to your head to hear what is inside. Give us an example of what you are trying to sound like.

You mentioned Electro Harmonix, but which pedal did you try? Electro Harmonix has its Graphic Fuzz pedal. I have one and it produces a decent sound. It is just a fuzz pedal with an EQ section, sooo... If you can grab an equalizer to put in line with your fuzz pedal you might get the sound you want.
