I was in GC in Plymouth Meeting, Pa yesterday and they have a used one there.

I know you can get it for under a grand. Ask for Kevin.

I have one and you'll have to pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Good luck

Sorry to disapoint but yes I do.

I get great deals on gear there but only from Kevin who is one of the managers. He's knowledgable and always gives me fair trade in values too.

I bought my Genz Benz from BCR Greg and got a fair deal on it. BCR is almost 2 hours from my place so I don't get up there very often.

There was a mom and pop music shop 2 minutes from my house that was a Kaman dealer that had an El Diablo in stock when I bought mine. I checked there and the guy was such a major dick, and I've spent thousands there. I would buy there and pay more than at the big stores just to support the local guy.

I was in the shop the day before it closed and he still had the head at a real blowout price. I hope he had to eat it. The guys wife was complaining about the demise of the mom and pop shops and all I could think was 'If your husband wasn't such an ass......."

Now I'm glad I bought mine off of Greg, there would really have been no service after sale.

We need Guitar Center, where else can a 14 year old kid go and scratch up a $2500.00 guitar

All you need to know to work at a Guitar Center is....Can I super size that for you????....lol!

Thats not fair, there are some good guys working at Guitar Center.

But I agree that most of them don't know squat about any thing. If you find a good guy working there remember his name and ask for him. I don't even talk to the guys with pimples. Some times they are way off on their pricing on used gear sometimes it's way high and sometimes real low. So if I'm down in the city I stop in and check.

Where I live there are now 2 music stores. One trys to get full retail out of you I'm sure Greggy knows about Freds in Reading, he thinks he's Ed Roman, and the other is owned by Brook Mays, they make guitar center look good.

And Garbage Center is still better than Sam Trash. Read the Ed Roman rant on that place, it's so true.

Guitar Center is the place to go if you wnat to try a bunch of stuff out with no intention of buying it. The people there just care about making sales. Last time I went there, they guy I talked to kept referring to Hamers as "Hammers.' On top of that, he didn't even know anything about his own inventory. It was I that pointed out that the Steve Vai guitar has some scalloped frets. For shame.

Did'nt mean to turn this into a G.C. flaming post but....I work at..and have always supported the independant's or..mom and pop stores...because plain and simple...you support them...they will support you..Just try and get any help from a G.C. You'd have more of a chance of having a unicorn land in your backyard...

I like Unicorns,

And, the Guitar Center in the Quad cities is the best thing that ever happened to Me! It's helped my reputation for customer service grow tenfold easy  Also when people do buy stuff there,(which they will do undoubtedly, and I can't blame them) and they cannot get it set up by the fine folks at CG they come here. So either way guitar center is a win/win for small business.

sorry that started to sound like a rant :o
