I'm not a fan of much of the Jax stuff post-87 or so, but that one's hot. The PCs are the one guitar in their line today that I really like.

I'm very reluctant to sell this PC1. The neck size seems bigger than the factory measurements. I'll take my own later tonight.

I know the neck on my PC-1 was probably the largest neck I have ever owned. I had several Hamers at the time that had vintage neck carves and my PC-1 was decidedly larger. The only thing that was close was a Korina Artist with a freakishly large neck, way bigger than any Hamer I have ever played or owned. The PC-1s combo of the large neck and jumbo frets made it a dream to play.

IIRC the upcharge to put that sustainer system into any other guitar was a 1K upcharge from Jackson. Mine was a Floyd Rose sustainer system that was awesome at getting that long sustaining feedback at any volume. It also has a working neck pickup, but it is a dud in the tone department. Most sustainer systems I have seen do not have a functional neck pickup, this system does.

Overall, this was a killer instrument. The cap is also a very thin maple cap. Not a veneer, but probably only about 1/4 inch thick. the guitar is a flat top so it doesn't get thicker in the middle. The maple neck combined with an almost solid mahogany body made for some killer lead tones. These guitars are winners. Good luck with the sale.

Edited to add that mine had an original Floyd and I think that is the case for all of the PC-1s. It isn't a "licensed under" Floyd, it is an original Floyd.

I have that very guitar and I will never sell mine. Its just too damn good. Best guitar Jackson puts out IMO.

It is my GO TO guitar (cause I don't bring my Custom Shop out to play).

It had a D shape neck - Phil of Def Lepard wanted the neck shaped like one of his old Les Pauls - '59 I think.

I just love the neck shape.

1-11/16" nut.

.80" Thickness at first fret and .89" at 12th fret.

I think somewhere around 2.23" width at the 12th fret going across the neck.

It is the perfect neck for me. In fact I own a Jackson Custom Shop based on this very same neck.

You will not find a better regular production American made shred machine anywhere period.

Tone for days (I replaced the original pup with a SD Custom TB -5).

Go over to the Jackson forum. Only problem is to sell anything in the classifieds over there now you need to pay a $20 fee to use that option. Everything else is free.

But I guarantee you will sell it over there.
