jerseydrew Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 In the next day or so, I'm about the list a bunch of guitars and amps on ebay. I haven't had this one long. I don't remember what model or what year this guitar is? Basically, I'm looking what to call it in my auction. It's serial number 333615. USA model. The bridge was changed for a mini hum, but I have the original P90 in the case.
seeker Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 It'sa 93. At the time I believe it was call the Archtop GT (Goldtop). It's now officially called the Studio P-90, but most folks call and sell it as a Studio Goldtop. Since it's bound and crowned, you'd kinda think that the Custom suffix would have made it into the name, but since I've never seen one that was unbound, that's a given.
jerseydrew Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 What are you selling Drew???It'll probably be a couple of Boogie's including an original MKIIC+, a Tom Murphy 58 Les Paul, and the Hamer Goldtop. It won't be one of your RS's.And perhaps an Ibanez Rocket Roll II V. (not the Iceman). I'm not sure about that one yet. If I do, it'll be a perfect match to your Destroyer.
atquinn Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 If I was listing it on eBay I'd call it a "Studio Custom Soapbar / P90", but as to the actual model, Seeker is correct. I'd think it would go for slightly less than a Studio Custom (maybe around $800), but if it were me, I'd list it at $500 with no reserve to get more action on the auction. Also, assuming the minihumbucker isn't generic, I'd reinstall the original P90 (and knobs if you have them) and sell the minihumbucker seperately to get more money out of the sale(s). I might be interested in it myself (I've been looking for one), but I have a McInturff Monarch coming that I'm hoping will meet my P90 needs. -Austin
hamertek98 Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Wish I could sell some bass amps and guits quick. That's a fav of mine. The binding still looks great.

I've got a '96 Archtop GT (non-custom) with dots and no binding. Seeker's right, though. Call it a Studio P-90 or nobody will know what the heck it is... I've always wanted a bound and crowned one, but right now my wallet says otherwise

Bloozguy Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Learn something new everyday. No binding? How do they demark the line between painted top/upper side and side wood? I learn something new every day as well...like writing "no neck binding" instead of just "no binding." The body's bound just like a normal Studio Custom, but the neck is not. I'll try to post pix in the next few days.
