Jdubb Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I just purchased a Hamer Special P90 1993. Great guitar! The guitar is excellent condition; looks brand new. The case looks like it's been dragged behind a truck. Can't figure that one out. I need a replacement case and was wondering what case would work with this guitar. I contacted Hamer and the Hamer Logo Case is pretty expensive. Any ideas on what kind of hardshell case will work with this guitar? Thanks

It is too sweet...
silentman Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Yup any LP case will work. Hamer uses TKLs.
Thundernotes Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 A case would be cheaper through a local dealer than what Hamer could sell it to you for. That's what they told me yesterday, anyway.

Any ideas on what kind of hardshell case will work with this guitar?ThanksThe Hamer P90 Special of the 90's is exactly the same size as the humbucker Studios. Maybe a bit thinner because of the flat top, but that doesn't seem to matter when looking for hardcases. These Hamers are actually shorter, smaller, and lighter than both Les Pauls and Strats. In fact, they're a good inch or two shorter in overall length than a Paul, and the headstock pitch is much shallower than on most Pauls. You should not have any problem at all with most cases I would think. If you're determined to have a Hamer OHSC, then that obviously limits your options.

Same problem here, I can't find a good case for my older Sunbursts. I bought one Sunburst with a gibson case, I think it's a really old LP case and one newer Hamer Case came with the Darkburst I just bought. Take it to you local shop and just try some cases out. I would look for an LP JR case.
