seeker Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Heh all, For sale is my 97 Black Studio Custom, 3 Pickup (factory-equipped). Very Good shape. The pickups are SD 59s. Neck size is a typical mid-late 90s Studio - thicker than early 90s, thinner than the ones made now. Basically a D shape. And yes, this was previously owned by the famous (or rather infamous) Artist formerly know as Turdus. 1100 plus shipping, or 1050 pickup in the Wash-Balto area. (edited to expand description)
cmatthes Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 That is a nice one. I've played it at the Turdus residence, and it gets the stamp of approval. Wish I was a little more liquid for that one at the moment.Frampton Comes Alive II !!
seeker Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 Pickup selector acts exactly as it does with a two pickup Studio: Bridge, Bridge-Neck, Neck. It's the pots that are wired differently. The tone knob is still overall tone. The next knob up (which is normally the Bridge Vol), is the Vol for the Middle pickup. It is always "on". The last knob controls volume for both neck and bridge. The cool thing is you can be playing with the bridge, and then give it a bit more mid to mid-lo by mixing in the middle pickup. Same with neck, except you get to mix in more mid treble. It (to my ears) is halfway betwen the brightness of the bridge and the bass of the neck.
Guest galejt Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Note to potential purchasers: Add a third Zebra pick up.or,move the middle pup to the bridge and insert an HD-Z90 ala peso.OH YEAH BABY! OH YEAH!!11ELEVEN11!!
