miragejake Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 These are my babies, but I'm getting laid off in a month, and I'm don't play out anymore...so most of my gear has to go. First up is the Monaco Superpro. It's in excellent condition, and is one of those guitars you have to see and play in person to get the beauty. The upgrades are tortoise shell binding, and WCR Godwood pickups--sounds freakin' incredible. This guitar is a joy to play and to hear. It's chambered, so it's super light...in the 6.5-7 lb range. Hamer's vintage carve neck, victory inlays, sperzels, Hamer OHSC...and I believe this to be a spruce top model, but I'm not positive as I'm the second owner...one of you experts feel free to chime in. I've owned lots of guitars from old Les Paul's, strats, Melancon, Mcinturf, and lots of Hamer's...this is by far my favorite guitar ever...it pains me more than you could believe to sell this. The guitar was setup 3 months ago, and has had little playing time since. The original owner of this guitar was Jack Zucker (Sheets of Sound)...and there are some clips of him playing this very guitar below--open the link, and there are 5 clips w/ the title "Hamer" in them...all are my Monaco. -Jack, hope you don't mind me using the link. $1350 shipped, and I'm firm on that. http://www.sheetsofsound.net/demos.html 2nd is the Newport. Beautiful guitar in excellent condition. Also super light in the 6.5-7 lb range. Jazzburst finish, vintage neck carve, grover roto-matics, bigsby trem, Hamer OHSC, Seymour Duncan phat cat P-90's which are super cool. The guitar plays great, the bigsby stays in tune, and sounds excellent. I longed for one of these for some time, and was not at all disappointed when I finally got it...plus, you don't see a whole lot of them in jazzburst. Setup was done less than a month ago. $1075 shipped, and I'm firm on that. Both guitars are setup w/ DR 10's. I ship fedex ground insured from my office, and have shipped dozens of guitars over the last few years...I PACK FOR WAR! Paypal accepted, but you'll have to split the fees...I'd much rather have a USPS money order.
Guest pirateflynn Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Wow ... those are both so nice! Incredible values, too.
atquinn Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Isn't that the "SprucerPro". If so, the original owner was our very own HHB!-Austin
miragejake Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 Looks like the Superpro is going to Hgb5000 pending payment...damn, I'm truly sad on this one. At least it's staying in the HFC!
