I know!

He said it's 8/10 condition, no hard case, white with tortoise.

He keeps lowering the price, but I am brokeassbroke.

I have not seen it in person, but it sounds like a good guitar with dings and nicks if he's describing it honestly.

Uhhh... those do appear to be pics of the "Pizza Day" Standard... :D:lol:

What's the deal with the control cover on the standard? The Tone to the bone thing on it is cool.

Shhhhh, I'm waiting till that bass hits $350.

On the "Tone to the Bone" there was a HFCer that made some of this if you sent yours in and paid a small fee.

So, that Standard is crapola? Because if it's still there and goes down any further, I might have to bite...

I was the lucky shipper that had to deal with UPS for almost two months to get a settlement after they damaged the guitar. The current seller seems like a good guy and, IIRC, the break wasn't clear through the neck. I cannot comment on the quality of the repair since I never saw it.

This might be bad form (and if it is please remove it), but I think that guitar sold for less than $1200 the last sale I saw before the headstock break. I love that guitar, but it seams high for a headstock repair.

I'm the current owner/seller and the one that bought this "pizza day" Standard when it was last posted on this board, and I did pay a little more than $1200. I did not post the ad here, since most boards have a minimum post requirement before you can post sale ads, and I'm still a newbie here. Feel free to PM me with any questions. The crack was definitely not through the neck, and aside from some dimples in the refinished area from shrinkage, it would be difficult to spot the repair. I would prefer to sell locally, but may entertain shipping it if no one comes by in the next week or so.

I was not putting down the guitar in any way. Just saying I almost bought the guitar for $1250 last time it came up pre headstock repair. I'm sure it's a great guitar and you will move it soon. Good luck with your sales.

No problem. :D

It is a good, solid playing guitar with just a few minor finish issues. Fortunately they are all on the backside. Not desperate to sell, but could use the money for an upcoming extended European work trip. If I don't sell it in the next 2 weeks, I'll just have to keep it until next year. There are worse problems.
