backinit Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Looking for a mixer to use for practice sessions. 4 XLRs is ok, a few more is better. Not a lot of bells and whistles required. Whatcha got?

DavidE Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 behringer ub1202 is $79 on musicians friend (i just happened to have that page open!). Hard to beat that. For $225 shipped, I have an Audio Centron 12 channel mixer with built in effects. Rack ears too.
Uncle Thor's Hamer Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I've got one of the smaller Behringer with 2 XLR and 4 instrument channels. Works well, sounds fine. BUT, when I bought it the sales lady told me that the quality is spotty and there was a 50/50 chance that I'd have to return it. Yup, had to return the first one. The second has worked fine for a year now. You might want to buy it from a local brick/mortar store so it is easier to return it if you have to.The Behringer uses that silly S video connector for the power supply with three wimpy thin prongs. They are prone to getting bent, and will only withstand very limited bending to straighten out. So if you get a Behringer be really careful plugging in the power cord.
backinit Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Can I get a hell yeah? Still lookin
