Look n00b, no one here asked for a spelling lesson from you, and if maturity is what you're looking for, you ought not hang around on an Internet message board. Things often get "childish" 'round these parts.  Hardheartedbill can say what most people can't when he's holding a guitar, so he can spell as poorly as he likes. We allow him that in exchange for the music he makes, and I think anyone that has heard him play would agree that we get the better part of that deal.

Notice, no one poked fun at your terrible punctuation or lack of capitalization.

Martin Barre is a great player. No one is arguing that point. On the other hand, there are many that don't enjoy the flute, especially when it is ruining what could have been a rockin' song. When that flautist is going out of his way to gesticulate and display all sorts of histrionics, it becomes that much more unenjoyable.  I am not alone in my opinion, Gov'ner.

I don't know what your 26 years of playing Hamers has to do with Martin Barre, or anything else in this thread, but I assure you, a dozen Hamers is not going to impress anyone here, so ease back, save the politics for the political threads in the Outer Circle, and check your facts before you tell someone how wrong they are.

Or do you need more photos of Ian Anderson's nut sack?

Oh, snap!

Woah!!!!!!!! Rattled a few cages with that post eh!.

Hands up i wrote it after drinking 14 beers and could barely see the keyboard never mind hit the right keys,no excuses here.

Anyway HHB i hope your ok after your post ,looks like youve bust a few blood vessels man,im sure your a cool player ,most Hamer players are.

Where is your stuff on the net so i can check it out?

K you do remind me of an old headmaster at school man (he was good at lecturing naughty boys also)),but i really do find lame and disturbing the fact that you cant deal with a guy like Ian Andersons on stage antics,he really doesnt take it that serious and he makes equal fun on these poses himself,he does has a very "wicked" sense of humour.

You may not like the flute as an instrument but to compare Jethro Tull with "Tiny Tim" ,theres no answer to that ,its a "n00b" comparison im afraid.

My "26 years of playing Hamers" has as little to do with "Martin Barre being the coolest Hamer player" as does "Andersons standing on one leg",although if it wernt for Martin i probably never would have discovered Hamer.

Also you mentioned KK Downing being a cool Hamer player, can you deal with Rob Halford prancing around the stage "coated" in leather and branding a whip? ,I think that is quite lame and disturbing.

Anyway at the end of the day i think American sense of humour is miles from the British so i guess where all different.

Ill probably get booted of this board soon,so i might start my own in the uk,but there only be 20 members at the most i think.

Serious question here ,Why dont Hamer guitars cut it in the UK? They list for a very comparable price new if you can find one,but second hand they go for peanuts.

Going to practice my typing now .

Mirageman, you won't get "booted", that rarely happens. We will hope that you will be a little less BRITISH and a little more HUMAN. Our other members from the the Island have a significantly different approach, and they don't claim that they differences are nationalistic.

Let's try to fit in a bit and we'll all be better off.

Oh, and where are your MP3s?

*Edited because I spell poorleeeeeeeee.*

Right...it couldn't have *anything* to do with you being a condescending prick.

FWIW...there are quite a few Europeans on this board and you are the only one who seems to be having a problem.

BTW...this is comming from a huge Tull fan.

I anxiously await your MP3s.....

WOW, good thread! For what it's worth I like Tull but in my hazy memory I never remember Martin playing a Hamer when I saw them I thought it was always a Gibson. It was the 70's so my memory could be wrong. And yes I remember the adds.
