BlueRedWhite Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 LOL!!!yeah manactually P-90s sounds good anywhere, don't you agree?? Man, that guitar sound great even unplugged!!!and i've read the reviews here and on the internet about this little mofo (Super Champ XD), it has already some effects on it, try it last night at a store with a Les Paul (the new ones with no vernish) it sounds awesome!!I would even take one with the modified cabinet, i believe Nath here has done that, or Brooks, I don't remember well
harry65 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 if you want the ultimate small portable gigging amp here's what i did with mine , replace the stock speaker with an eminence rajin cajun , has the beef and low end of a "12" , call dave allen at allenamps and order a TO26 output transformer , they cost 50$ , have someone install it, pretty simple, should find a local tech to do it for 50$ , finally buy some jj 6v6's, the transformer adds so much low end and beef to the sound and a little more headroom, the jj's have a little more headroom as well , if you find a used super champ on the bay or wherever the whole thing should cost you less than $400 , i love mine , so small and portable with such a huge sound , good luck.........................
