Krank Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/3/13/881...%20%2857%29.wavAn ultra brief clip with the Daytona I got from a member here, through a simple 5W tube amp miked with a 57. This is my first real setup here at home. Is the recording quality alright? Sound muffled/need more highs?

HSB0531 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Sounds great!Very smooth. No peaky notes anywhere.Write done all your settings and position of the 57 to the speaker including the angle, height, and distance.
Krank Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 Thanks a lot. How about this: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/3/13/881...%20boogie-3.mp3Is the lead either too skinny or compressed, or both?

If you have these knobs on the compressor, try:Less attack & a bit longer on the release?Maybe 2:1 on the ratio?

It has controls for Blend and Sustain. I take it I could turn up the Blend (to get less natural attack) and turn up the Sustain (to get more compression).
