esquared Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Just putting this up to see what is out there... I can send or add more pics later.I am looking to trade a transparent cherry mahogany Californian Elite. It is pictured in my signature. It has EMG's in it right now.Looking for a Vintage S, quilt maple preferred, maybe HSS configuration?orStandard, something blue? Maybe something like the BCR blue burst that was on hear a while ago (I think it had a head repair???). Other colors considered. This is the one I was thinking off: BCR Standard headstock repair Hope you don't mind the reference Greg?+/- cash as required.Thank you, thank you.Best of the season to everyone.

I can guarantee that you would only be able to complete that deal if you added between $7 and $10k to your offer (at least!). That one is one of the first 100 Hamers made. That is an extremely unusual early Standard (#0096), and I think it is being left to me in the owner's will.
esquared Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 OK, I dont need something rare. I am looking for something to play. A guitar like that would be fun but I am pretty flexible, other than I am hung up on another Hamer!

That's THE only blueburst Standard with crowns that I'm aware of and it is from 1/78-many years before BCR existed.
esquared Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 OK, so the intent was not to trade a Cali for a super rare Hamer. I just remembered that blue burst as looking really cool. So, how about just a blue hamer? I have seen some nice studio's also. I would just like to see what I could trade rather than selling and having the money burning a hole in my pocket, which usually ends up in snap purchases.ThanksEveryone.

You have no idea how sick it makes me every time I see that guitar - It could have been mine, dammit!
esquared Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 Now I am really starting to think I need a Standard.Anybody know if there are any out there with boomers???Can you order a new one with boomers???Well, actually if I am going to dream about more boomers... didnt I see a blueburst Watson with boomers circling around? hehehehehehehe I think that is the last I had seen out of the custom shop with Boomers???
silentman Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Boomers are done for now. Can't get em. There were a few guitars done after that Watson with the boomers. One being a standard that is probably not going to be for sale anytime soon.
esquared Posted December 23, 2009 Author Posted December 23, 2009 If cmathes and serial would stop hiding all the best unique Hamer's under their mattresses then maybe I could be cool like them one day also Very jealous of some of the hardware you guys have passed on over the years. Anyhow, with recent offers I am starting to think that maybe I am open to trading up to all 4 of my Hamer's if the right piece came along? I just know there is very cool hardware out there. Send me a note let me know what you have. Maybe this is getting off topic from original post if things heat up then I will start another thread. I guess I am hoping that maybe we can get some trades going around here????
serial Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Standards are great guitars indeed. I'm pretty much down to the "Keepers" in my guitar family now. I think the only boomers I have left are on my Impact and my Chap Custom. Hands down my favorite inlays though!!
