Cali Elite trade for Standard or Vintage S???

I am looking to trade a transparent cherry mahogany Californian Elite. It is pictured in my signature. It has EMG's in it right now.

Looking for a Vintage S, quilt maple preferred, maybe HSS configuration?

or

Standard, something blue? Maybe something like the BCR blue burst that was on hear a while ago (I think it had a head repair???). Other colors considered.

I can guarantee that you would only be able to complete that deal if you added between $7 and $10k to your offer (at least!). That one is one of the first 100 Hamers made.

That's a pretty accurate assessment! That's THE only blueburst Standard with crowns that I'm aware of and it is from 1/78-many years before BCR existed.

OK, so the intent was not to trade a Cali for a super rare Hamer. I just remembered that blue burst as looking really cool.

So, how about just a blue hamer? I have seen some nice studio's also. I would just like to see what I could trade rather than selling and having the money burning a hole in my pocket, which usually ends up in snap purchases.

You have no idea how sick it makes me every time I see that guitar - It could have been mine, dammit!

Well, actually if I am going to dream about more boomers... didnt I see a blueburst Watson with boomers circling around? hehehehehehehe I think that is the last I had seen out of the custom shop with Boomers???

Boomers are done for now. Can't get em. There were a few guitars done after that Watson with the boomers. One being a standard that is probably not going to be for sale anytime soon.

If cmathes and serial would stop hiding all the best unique Hamer's under their mattresses then maybe I could be cool like them one day also Very jealous of some of the hardware you guys have passed on over the years.

Anyhow, with recent offers I am starting to think that maybe I am open to trading up to all 4 of my Hamer's if the right piece came along? I just know there is very cool hardware out there.

Standards are great guitars indeed. I'm pretty much down to the "Keepers" in my guitar family now. I think the only boomers I have left are on my Impact and my Chap Custom. Hands down my favorite inlays though!!
