Sweet dreams and flying machines

There's something really satisfying about seeing a broken guitar fixed up and brought back to life. This isn't as radical as Greg's bench reports, but I was reading up on James Taylor's acoustics and found these pics of his main Olson guitar when they were damaged by an airline. Nice work by Olson.

The damage:

After repair by Olson:

Nice work! Those high dolla guitars see a lot of road work. I would think he'd fly them in a nice road case, but perhaps that would be too hard to handle if he has to carry the guitar. I have a road case for a dread size and it's a bear.

So, is he going to write a song about his guitar getting smashed up by an airline and become famous?
