ZR Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 It seems legal to sell cd's ...what about music software? You have used record/cd stores so how is it (or IS it?) different from selling music software? If I have an old recording program I don't use anymore could I legally sell it? Could I buy someones old drum program? Please enlighten me. Thanks!!
Armitage Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 As long as you pass on the right to use it, and discontinue use yourself, it's legal as far as I know.
Uncle Thor's Hamer Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 The basic rule involving music or software is that it must only be usable on one machine at a time. So you have to wipe it off of your computer if you sell it.
mathman Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Some has transfer fees and other limitations for transfer. A lot depends on whatever protection scheme the software uses.
