So the woofer of my Strawberry blonde is blown up.

The 10 inch that was is in there was a special designed for SWR by eminence.

What would be a decent priced replacement ?

I'd try getting hold of Eminence, they are good to deal with from what I hear....they might help you out with a repair or replacement (if SWR doesn't work out).

Good idea !

I'll mail them tomorrow.

There's an OEM code on the frame or the magnet. Give that to Eminence and they can either get you a direct replacement or one with similar specs.

Yikes! Any chance of finding a correct re-cone kit? Maybe SWR could point you to one?

Anything else I can think of would be in a 12" size.

I could use it temporarly with a 12" - I have a 12" cab available - what did you had in mind ?

The first thing that came to mind is the Eminence they make for modeling amps. I forget the model name/number right off hand, but it's designed to impart minimum coloration to the guitar tone.

So I mailed Eminence and SWR for some information - but got nothing from Eminence and from SWR just the part number that I should order from Fender - they distribute SWR over here- A call to a dealer learned me that the direct replacement is priced 165 Euro - I guess by now that the speaker is probably a variation of this one :

The thing is this one is rated at 250 Watt and the original is 90 Watt -would it make much difference to mount one of these - they are about half price of the original.
