coolfeel Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 With the order for my Custom Chaparral Custom placed, I need to thin the heard a little. Want to see if anyone is interested in this beauty: Up for sale is my Stephen Davies Spec’d Padauk Washburn N4 personally signed by Nuno Bettencourt on the back of the head-stock. This guitar comes from the second batch of Padauk guitars that were done as a test run for the Stephen Davies 2.0 specification. As you can see from the pictures, this guitar is turning a nice plum / wine color. It is probably a 9.5/10 and could easily be sold as new. I have just over $2000.00 invested in this guitar - it's only a year old so this is a very low price! Price: $1350.00 This guitar features: • 1991 Reissue specs • Original Neck Specs taken from Molds of Nuno's #1 Neck • Davies era rolled SEC • Padauk body • Padauk neck • Ebony Fretboard • 22 Jumbo frets • Original Floyd Rose bridge • Stephen's Extended Cutaway neck joint • Grover tuners I have installed a set of Suhr – Doug Aldrich pickups with a coil tap push/pull pot allowing for increased tonality versatility. The Aldrich pickups really scream in this guitar! I will also include the original Seymour Duncan 59 neck pickup and Bill Lawrence USA L500 bridge pickup. The original Bourns Pot will also be included. This guitar has very little playing time on it and I can’t think of any issues or blemishes on the guitar, however, the guitar will be sold AS IS with no returns. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.
coolfeel Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 THAT is an amazing guitar.Thank you! It's a hard one to let go but it just doesn't get the play time it needs and I am going to have way too many guitars here real soon.
marcnorth Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 That's a nice guitar, the Extended cutaway is cool looking.
David B Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Mike is cool to deal with. I've known him forever & we've traded a few over the years.
JGale Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Ummmmm...Washburn USA. I have an MG120 and the Pilsen NAMM Prototype. Necks to die for.
Rodan Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 That padauk is nice, alright! I don't know W/b's from the Feiten period onward... Did this one have the Washburn-stamped Schaller Floyd', originally?

DarrenD Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The Washburns today still vary betwen OFRs, Schallers, and Washburn stamped Schaller. The extended cutaways are the real deal - great guitars. I used to own a prototype and a few other neck-thru models made by Steve Davies - sold them a few years ago. They N4s are Washburn's bread n butter.
coolfeel Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Bump...This would make someone a fantastic guitar. Incredibly well built.Any takers?
