David B Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 All USA Hamers have had the same truss rod size forever. A new one will work.

Yet another nice thing about Hamer USA...not only did they include them with the guitar (at least since the early '90's), they're magnetic! Nice for using the Philips screwdriver tip on the wrench, keeps screws from falling off the tip and getting lost.

mirrorimij Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 "All USA Hamers have had the same truss rod size forever. A new one will work."I hate to be "that guy" but that statement is not 100% correct. Daytonas and T51's have always used a different style wrench. "Any idea what size it is?"5/16" wrench. 8mm should do in a pinch.

tbonesullivan Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Should be 5/16", aka Gibson size. Same size as on Heritage, Gibson, and probably some other makers.
