Disturber Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 If you like Seymour Duncan JB pickups, then you'll love ______. Cock... ...Rock? -Austin Love men rocking their cocks out... Interesting take on this posting and has possiblities. But guys, do you think to do that it might hurt?? Seriously, I would want to try a JB with Alnico 2 magnets... What about the Duncan Custom Custom ? I was thinking about this guy as an alternative to the JB. Description The Custom CustomTM is our SH-5 Duncan CustomTM humbucker with an Alnico II magnet for warm and smooth highs, more midrange, and a spongier bottom end than the SH-5. It's a good choice for players who need a traditional vintage tone with increased output. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable. Any thoughts ???? The Custom Custom smokes the JB any day. It has great tone.

MCChris Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I've had great results from a Custom Custom in the bridge position of my SuperPro and an Ibanez superstrat I used to own. Not so great in an '81 Prototype I used to own. But then, nothing sounded good in that guitar.
Lockbody Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I made a SD Custom 5 by taking the ceramic magnet out of a Custom and putting in a A5. Nice output, but it doesn't have that harsher ceramic bite in the top-end. I love it in my '61 reissue SG.
