Hello out there.... My name is David, I am in austin texas and I am on a quest to find my old sweetheart.
I did not have any luck with the S/N look up on the homepage so here we go...
I was flown to the Chicago in 1994 to tour the factory, while I was there I was allowed to pick the wood to be used on my custom build on a " keyman" endorsement deal.
What I had built was....
SPEC-G TOTAL CUSTOM T-62 STYLE
W/FMT- MHG BACK
CUSTOM ELECTRONICS
NAT FINISH
S/N 439869
( all from the original invoice that I still have)
She was a t-62 body, figured maple top, mahogany back
with a 24 fret , glue in Californian neck( custom radius) with a blended heel.
double in the bridge and a single in the front, EMG 85 and an SA
one volume ,no tone with a three way switch
gold hardware, with a schaller
ebony board with NO inlays ....
That almost made me cry... I found myself in a situation where I had to sell her around 1999 or 2000. She was sold to a friend on a first right of refusal deal....
Well, last I heard she was in Atlanta. I would love to find her...
It would seem that anyone that was into Hamers would instantly recognize a guitar like this as interesting, or maybe even noteworthy... Any input or help would be greatly appreciated .
As soon as I learn how.... I will post a pic of her.
