hamerican gigolo Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I love the sound of Firebird p.u.'s,but i'm not that crazy about the Gibson Firebird guitar. My ? is,is there anyother guitar that takes similiar p.u.'s? I know of course about the Hamer Eclispe, but they are rare as hen's teeth. Are there any other guitars that may have flown under my radar? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
crunchee Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 USA Eclipses aren't THAT rare, just hard to find sometimes...there's a black one on Ebay right now. They pop up for sale every now and then.
BadgerDave Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 It would be very easy to modify a Hamer p-90 Special (or just about any guitar with P-90's) to accept firebird style minihumbuckers.Specials are a good option because they are constructed similarly to firebirds, are pretty easy to find and are (relatively) cheap.
Carl.B Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Hey there is a black Eclispe in longisland for sale at a good price $550Eclipse
