Tom:

That's about right, isn't it? I mean those catalogs have to be up to, what, $1,500, $1,600 by now?

;)

Crack, indeed!

I have a guitar that was the one ACTUALLY PICTURED in that same catalog as well as featured in the ads that ran in Guitar Magazines at that time that I will sell and knock HUNDREDS off of that price!

What do all the switches do?

Mark -

From Top to bottom:

- 3-way toggle switch/pickup selector

- the little silver button activates the built-in wireless; next to that is the volume knob

- just below that is a red LED status indicator; across from that is the on/off mini toggle for the fingerboard LED position markers (they all still work perfectly!)

- SS-1 "Stubby" toggle split switch; across from that is the tone knob.

Since this picture was taken a few years ago, I've had the original OBL put back in the neck position and the Vol, tone and pickup selector toggle put back to their original positions like they left the factory (regular SS-1 style).

Man do I love that guitar. The world needs more Yellow guitars! :-)

Edited to add: Not that a Lefty Vintage S with floyd like the one in that auction wouldn't be the shiznit.

Well......counts me out....if it's got more than one switch or slider on it...I'm too confused.... :)

This has been true with the electric market since the beginning -- anything more than a pickup selector and maybe a coil splitter, and the guitar tanks in the marketplace -- Fender Jaguar, G&L F-100, Gibson Switchmaster, LP Recording ...

And guitarists joke about how dumb drummers are? :)

Actually, 3 of the things on there are not really used when playing anyway (LED on/of and indicator light and the pushbutton for the wireless)

Basically, it's tone/volume/pickup selector (3 way) and then the "Stubby" switch is a splitter.

Trust me, Kurt! Even YOU could handle this one :)
