Regina Lee Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I've been asking around and may have a good venue for the jam. Is everyone still interested? Let me know what you would like to see on the agenda - live music, guitar store tours, sightseeing, local-only dining establishments - you name it and I'll check all the calendars and let you know what available.Regina
bruce919 Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I am open to any weekend in Nov or Dec. I will be glad to help in any way to help plan it out.tess at cqc.com
Regina Lee Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 Bueller . . . ?Bump to see if there is more interest.Regina
tomteriffic Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Most Esteemed Redhead and I are pretty flexible with regards to a date, since it's only a couple of hours' drive to Indy for us.
MCChris Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 At this moment I'm clear for any weekend except the last in Nov. and the first in Dec.
sirDaniel Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 AH...HEM...You will have to name it something other then midwest jam. That name is copyrighted. Maybe like "indiana hootenanny" or "fighting irish roadhouse jam" or something like that. Firm up some plans and we'll check availability...
Regina Lee Posted October 6, 2005 Author Posted October 6, 2005 OK, so it looks like the Indy Jam might have some date competition with the Minneapolis folks. I was going to suggest the weekend of the 11th since Friday is Veteran's Day and more people might be able to make the trip. However, it looks like the 4-3-2-1 club was thinking along the same lines. (Hey BruceM, Bob Mould is in Indy on the 12th)Anyone opposed to concurrent jams on the same weekend? Chicago HFCers, you are literally stuck in the middle on this one, so we need you to weigh in.Regina
sirDaniel Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 could we do a satellite linkup or sumpin'?or maybe do a jam in each timezone like Dick Clark's rockin' NYeve.

Regina Hey Regina, Didn't mean to compete, sorry. I agree with Dan, it would be cool to do a satellite link, or at least post current pics & songlists. Maybe we could even play the same song at the same time with the same guitars wearing the same outfits, and then post pics within 5 minutes. Or is that too gay? Go ahead with your plans. I think it'll be fun, and there likely won't be too many plans changed for individuals heading to jams. Even though I can't make this one, I'd like to check out an Indy jam for sure. I pass through central IL often enough to make it doable for me. Edited to add: Bob who?

Or is that too gay? Ya think? I have to say that I'm very disappointed with the lot of you for scheduling festivities that I can't attend. I'd like to know where you're expecting to find someone else to fill the "forgot to rehearse the pre-planned Ramones medley so I'll just fake it and glare at Carmie when I screw up" role? Or the "I know this one pretty good solo, so I'll just transpose it into whatever key I think everyone else is playing in" role. Or the "sure I can play bass, how hard can it be" role? Where, I ask you?
