Highest bid at 8:00 Monday morning (Central Time) takes it. Buyer to add $25 for packing, shipping, and insurance. Paypal is requested since I need the money quickly. Let's start this thing at $250 and see where it goes. The included pic is not mine, but of a similar item listed on ebay. I'd take pics, but I have no camera. Feel free to email or post any questions at any time. I check my mail frequently. This is an awesome camcorder with many pro features. I hate to part with it, but I have no choice. Keep your eyes open as I'll be putting up some more items today.
DavidE Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 $275 anybody? I may be in the market, but I want to do some research first. I just borrowed one from an office mate. Probably a model or 3 up from this one. Took great video. With yours, can you move the video from the tape to your computer and then burn it to a CD?
savethematches Posted September 30, 2005 Author Posted September 30, 2005 Yeah, it has DV and analog outputs. Depending on your computer setup, you can capture video, edit, and burn cd or dvd. For a general overview of digital video editing, check out Videomaker magazine and/or www.videoguys.com.It's a cool unit than records digitally onto Hi8 tapes. It can also convert your old analog 8mm tapes to digital for transfer to your computer. For that matter, you can plug a VCR into the camera and use it as an AD coverter. If you still have slides, you can project them onto your screen, videotape them with this camera and add narration as you go. Your slides will then be preserved digitally, and you can edit as you please on your computer, then make DVD copies for your kids or grandkids. I recently did this for my wife's grandparents. I've used one of these cameras here at school for a few years and liked it so much I bought this one for myself. I chose this camera over a new one not because of price, but because this one smokes most of the new ones I looked at. It is in like-new condition. I've got the box, cables, possibly the manual (I don't recall right now), a small carrying case, and a new long-life battery--I forget exactly how long, but several hours. I'll check it out this evening and post details.
