Disturber Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Dave Rogers at Dave's in WI has the Keith Richards one (not sure if it is the original or if there was a 2d one made). Names inlaid into the fingerboards. Pretty cool. Any chance he'd sell it to me? I'd offer 350$ and on this oneI'll even stretch as far as topay shipping myself.
Punkavenger Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Sorry I'm new ! What Hamer is Johnny Ramone playing exactly?
geoff_hartwell Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I played at the Bayou in Mt Vernon NY last night and in one of the many photos on the wall, it pictures Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill both playing white fuzzy Hamers. Not sure if they were the ones that twirled around, but way cool.Geoff
geoff_hartwell Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top...Sorry! Geoff
wgarces Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top...Sorry! Geoff We know who they are! I used to play at the Left Bank in Mt. Vernon a while back! That place was a hole in the wall! Saw Metallica and Anthrax there on New Years Eve in 1983!
MrGuitarguy Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Man I can't believe I'm always the guy who has to mention Gary Hoey, espcially after two pages. His version of Hocus Pocus got ridculous air play when it can out. His music is in a ton of movies, etc. Even the local Columbus radio station 96.3 uses his song Bug Alley in the background of all the traffic reports (Brain Setzer also played on the song). Hoey is an incredible guitarist. Check him out if you haven't.
wgarces Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Gary Hoey is a great player. Didn't he do a cover of "Hocus Pocus"?Here's another guy that was around briefly. His name is Stevie Salas and I don't think he was endorsed by Hamer, but I saw him live in '89 and he was using a yellow Californian. Good player, too.
