Shed/Storage Building Question

I currently have an old metal storage building constructed on a concrete base. I was searching the internet for local shed builders and they all seem to build on elevated concrete blocks with a wooden floor. Is the wooden floor a better option than the concrete base/floor?

nope.

solid concrete is it man.

nothing to crawl around underneath...

esp when it gets cooking in the shed.... ;)

It costs more to pour concrete than to build the wooden floor. If you go with concrete be sure to have a termite treatment done before your floor is poured.

In IL, you have to watch how a concrete pad effects you property tax. I have a 14x20 on my property and I just set it up off the ground on Railroad Ties. I would have been taxed for pouring a pad even if the shed was still "Movable".
