David B Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I need a Bass for recording. (Hamer would be nice)Not too expensive though (beaters are ok).I missed out on a white Blitz on here 'cause my computer died. That would have been perfect. Thanks everyone! I have a Chap. on the way!
Buster Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I was surfing the Music Go Round web site and found a Cruise bass...5-string for $299...don't know if it's USA or not...but may be of interest? Here's a link:http://www.musicgoround.com/gear/inventory...s.asp?id=320299
David B Posted October 8, 2005 Author Posted October 8, 2005 Oh yeah, it needs to be a 4 string. I'm a guitar player. I'd be lost on a 5'er. Import Hamers might be ok as well.
SteveB Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I think Tres-Aaarvark was looking to move his old beat up ( but great sounding ) Scarab 4 string. You might want to contact him, I'm sure that would be pretty cheap.

elduave Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 If'n yer still lookin', the Slammer Special short scale is a perfect cheapy/beater bass for recording. The pickups sound great. Selling like hotcakes, no complaints or returns.http://www.slammerguitars.com/bassguitars.cfm$169 with free shipping for HFC'ers.Edited to add, I have a few G&L Tribute L2000's if that's your kinda thing. They use the same pickups as the US G&L's. The G&L buckers are my favorite bass pickups, ever.
