Best neck pickup for chimey tones in Strat ...

What I've got here (as you may know) is a 97 MIA Roadhouse strat with stock texas specials and callaham block. I play through a Blues jr with custom hardwood cabinet and cannabis rex speaker. Blues/rock etc etc

Guitar sounds great .... bridge position is very strong and gritty. I'm looking for more bell like tones in the neck position.

I believe I need a lower power pickup somewhere in the 5 point something range. I think the TS's are 6.2 or so. ALSO I just want to buy the neck pickup not a set.

So .... recommendations for a pickup and also a place that will just sell the neck pickup alone, without buying the set.

Plus, must work with the Texas special set .... its reverse wound (but that's probably only an issue when replacing the middle pickup)

Thanks!

If someone has a appropriate pickup knocking around a drawer somewhere, lets talk :)

Your pickups are (or at least, were):

6.2kΩ Neck / 6.5kΩ Middle / 7.5kΩ Bridge

Did you get the neck pickup adjusted down to the pickguard when you changed it out? That really helps with the Texas Specials. The Volume knob is also your friend with those!

OTOH, the G&L pickup Jay suggested would be more traditional sounding than the TS. I've got a Suhr ML Standard in the neck of mine and it is much more chimey, as well.

If you decide to get shed of those pickups, I'd definitely buy them back from you. ;)

I agree with the above,I have a lonestar Strat with TS neck and middle ,I get the best sounds with the TS right down near to the pick guard it surprised how much nicer the pick up was.

Neck - Bass 4.2mm - Treble 3.0mm
Middle - Bass 4.0mm - Treble 3.0mm
Bridge - Bass 4.0mm - Treble 2.8mm

This is where I have my pickups set... lower that fac rec to enhance glassy tone. The bass side of the neck pickup is basically flush to the pick guard

Played some last night and it sounded great .... I think maybe my amp has a mind of it's own or dementia is setting in, or both ...
