triodecr Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 What is the Mirage I and II neck profile like and do they vary a great deal? I'm guessing they're thinner than the 2000's standard carve? Would they be similar to the medium 'C' of the 90's Daytonas? Thanks!
it's me HHB Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Med carve slightly on the bigger side. Not as much shoulder as the vintage neck carve they offered in the 2000s.
veatch Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 The Mirage I over here has a vintage carve neck. Feels full, but not "fat"
kizanski Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I've had several and I've found them to be all over the place. That said, they're usually not on the large side.
Caddie Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I don't have enough experience to comment on the Daytona. However I've had a bunch of mid '90s Hamer setnecks. Studios, Artists, Mirage, Eclipse, Duotone. Its uncanny how similar the necks feel. I've played a couple '00s Vintage Carve necks. They feel pretty close to those mid '90s necks. Maybe a touch thicker where its curving up to join the fretboard. However I may have just been retaining water that day.Cheerscaddiekiz? Water retention issues for you too?! Fingers feel like little sausages? Feeling like you suddenly have cancels? Your calves fell like (2) full grown cows?
triodecr Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Thanks! It sounds like a Mirage will be my next acquisition!
