jamminpete Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 HelloI have a chance to pick up a Hamer Eclipse at a very low price. Problem is the truss rod turns ok but has little or no effect.Decisions decisions....If it was broken what would be involved in replacing it? Price etc...Could it be that the nut just came lose? What u guys think? -Pete
tbonesullivan Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 how much did you turn it? Truss rods that are all the way loose can need a few turns until they start having any effect on neck bow.
jamminpete Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Yup I already have one of my other guitars over their getting fixed.

So deep that a standard truss/phillips tool can't get in far enough to grab the hex nut. I bought a T-handle, 5/16" wrench from AllParts. It has a long socket shaft and works great.
