I really like this guy's technique and attitude. Very informative and just a great teacher:

I'd also add: the Technique section of the Talk Bass board has tons of information on it. If only I had more time to devote to all these resources!

The aforementioned Scott's Bass Lessons are great, I have found a lot of good columns on notreble.com, and even some stuff from Janek Gwizdala on youtube although he usually is a bit over my head.

Right handed. Fingering and slapping instead of picking. That just sounds screwed up. Lol....

I picked up the bass about four years ago and I knew the only way I was ever going to make fingerstyle work was to never pick up a pick and a bass at the same time. I cased all my guitars and left only the bass available to play (sans pick) for two solid months.

Now playing bass with a pick just feel weird.
