diablo175 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 This may be the wrong place to ask, given the predominantly anti- IEM crowd here at the HFC but...need a limiter to use in conjunction with my in-ear monitors. Anyone use/recommend one?
dragan Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I would think any decent quality comp/limiter would work ( dbx ? ) , some one had a comp/limiter for sale here a while back
it's me HHB Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Yuk, I used em just last night w no limit in sight!
tomteriffic Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 A goof-proof one or two-knob compressor inserted between the board's aux (monitor) buss output and the input to the transmitter ought to do the trick. The key is to set the threshold high enough that it doesn't squash the crap out of everything and then set the output level a little below the ouch level for your in-ear.If you have multiple monitor mixes, something like this should do the trick for relatively few bux.
