gtone Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 If you do fab one up, let us know if you notice an increase in sustain, m'kay?
archaic Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I don't know about one that's made, but I got a brass big block and heavy duty floyd from guitar fetish for a Charvel Model 3 I got off ebay with a knackered bridge. The difference in sound and sustain was very noticeable, and a huge improvement. Much more lively sounding afterwards.
gorch Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Brass is very tonal. It creates a lovely warm sustaining tone. Since playing coins for plecs. This summer, I took Danish 10 Krona coins home. The ones with the hole in the center. And compared them to my beloved brass Indonesian 25 Rupiah. The Rupiah are warm and charming. Whereas the Krona are more crisp, but clear. Very nice indeed. I'm swapping since. I might compare to the other coins I selected over time.
diablo175 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Can't speak to the fabrication of one, but I can attest to their tonal and sustain contributions. Let's put it this way: I now have them on 12 of the 14 guitars I own.
