Hey guys. My favorite ax is my daytona USA. No fender american holds a candle to it. Been thinking about finding an extra strat for an Eric Clapton harness and found the mint korean Daytona in the link above. Dirt cheap, but is it worth it? In other words, Might it have a nice flat fingerboard and good heft (I like solid and hefty). could it be something I'd enjoy playing even as my USA watches on from the sidelines?

At that price, what's the WORST that could happen?

Well, gone now. Snoozed and loozed.

You loose. It's been a great guitar for half the treefiddy measure. Never ask such question any more. Rather buy it straight and post the pron here.

Thanks Gorch. You right. burn and lern.

You dodged a bullet. The only thing it has in common with the USA model is the name. There are better import Strat copies out there, but (like Gibson) you'll need to try 'em before you buy 'em.

One of the early MIK Import Daytonas? For $129?

Those actually aren't the bad ones...

Maybe it's just my luck. The couple I had were real dogs compared to other brands and other MIK Hamers.

Still, I probably would have taken a shot at $129.....

The MIKs were a great series. Find a better guitar for that price anyway.

There's a maple boarded one on GC used items for $229.99 if you're still looking

Good return policy @ GC and includes a case, Maple fretboard as opposed to the rosewood.

Thanks Sledhead44. Considering trading my T-51F for a real Daytona--post up--which is causing family strife, thanks to Hamerhead! Good times ;) !
