So I got this beat up old guitar....tuners

So I bought this beat up old guitar and 2 of the grover bullseye tuners have protrusion issues. Doesn't seem to effect tuning, but I'm starting a clean up on her and this is one of the major issues.

So my questions are; what can I do to fix this?

Will they go back together easily or should I be looking for replacements?

Can a half blind idiot do it himself?

Thanks to all.

Those should go back together fine. If I remember, you want to take the screw out of the end holding the button on, then thread the internal part that is sticking out, back in, then re-attach the button and screw.

Thanks G man. I was hoping that was the case. But I was afraid to start and then find out I couldn't fix it or couldn't find a replacement.

Thanks again.

Yes sir! She's a sweet old gal. Got a few scars from her nights in the bars but nothing severe or crippling.

Other than the tuner problem it just needs a good cleaning. The pickups are not original and there's an extra switch to think about, The back of the pots are all crappy, kind of an opaque grey with no lettering legible. But everything works good and sounds great, so I'm not sure what to do there. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions when I get to that point.

Thanks again for your help.

Yep - that's a 5 second fix. Very easy.
