I found most of the specs. When did they switch from the TOM to the wrap around bridge?

I think it was '94 when they went from the TOM to the wraparound bridge, then they went back to the TOM in '96, IIRC.

When I was in the market for a new Artist in '95 the Artist Studio had a wraptail, the Artist Custom (bound & crowned) had a TOM.  Maybe mc2 or serial or cmatthes would know.  They are indeed the Hamer savants here.  Nooooo, I did not say idiot savant.  I'm the village idiot here and don't you forget it.

I remember reading (here on this forum) that the carving of the top changed around that time.

The top was only carved from the outside until 1996, from then on it was also carved on the inside,

resulting in a thinner and more resonant top.

But, my memory may not serve me well,

so can anyone confirm this?
