Look original, some divots, nothing too dramatic and still have plenty of meat to do a bit of a dressing. ^^ Ditto ^^ Preserving what originality you have left. Looking good. I'd examine the truss rod. Look to see that you have adjustment both ways. You'll feel it with your hand wrapped around the neck. At this stage, I also like to unscrew the nut completely off, brush clean and lube the exposed threads of the rod and get the nut back on. They usually work noticeably better after. With some back bow now, appears it wouldn't be snapped. You just need to assure string tension offsets that 'hump' to where you'd want it. \m/ d It's first thing I do. All good there. For now, I would shoot a thin clear coat to stop the flaking... also buying you time to purchase all the proper parts & and decide how you want to take care of the paint job... but in the meantime you can put it all together to play/adjust/make notes "using whatever parts you have laying around" ... just my two cents RAWK ON! Just the clear on top would not be possible, I think. some flakes of paint are still lifted a bit, and if sprayed, might curl up a little. And that paint is too old, so even if I use nitro it will not soften it and melt together. Had some LP with similar kind of damage and was able to return it 100% to it's original condition. But it was Wine Red. Used high viscosity crazy glue to go under the coat and make it stick to the body. We'll see.
serial Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 That's my old one. It's a 'Wedge Vee'-the name they gave these before they settled on 'Scepter V'. Factory finish was champagne pearl. I gave $125.00 for it with some hardware and sold it a few years later on eBay (?). i was going to turn it into a replica of one of KK Downing's Mini Vees, but never got there.

I thought I've seen this guitar on ebay about 9 or so years ago. Right around that time I asked Chris about KK's mini V and he was telling me about possibility of turning Scepter V into KK's V. Should've bought it then
