LedZepmann Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 OK, so I got the bass. Action is up way high after tuning. The truss adjustments seem impossible to adjust - there's barely any space between the nut and the headstock wood. I don't own a tool small enough to get between the nut and the wood, at the right size to turn the nut. Can anyone shed some light on that? Thanks
marcnorth Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 You need one of these. https://reverb.com/item/4522507-hamer-usa-original-truss-rod-wrench-all-years
mc2 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Hamer usually included its own truss rod wrench. I can throw one in my case for you.

But the plastic "HAMER" logo'd baggie for the wrench will cost you $100 extra. j/k...it's an inside joke around here. Good luck with the gig. It sounds like a great way to make some money and have fun simultaneously.
LedZepmann Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 Update! Ok I finally found a ratchet wrench that slipped in there and got around the nut, so I was able to make the adjustments and the thing plays like butter now! Marknorth, I'll check out that Reverb link for the proper tool - thanks!
LedZepmann Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 My quest is over (for now)! Thanks to everyone who pointed me in the right directions! Here is my dynamic duo:
