I was wondering if anyone has pics of some of the different transparent colors over korina (or mahogany for that matter) so I might be able to make a more informed decision on a custom order I've got my mind on. Looking at Hamer's list of stock transparent colors I did come across transparent red and red transparent. Is there really a difference? Anyway, if anyone has some examples of some of the different trans finishes (reds, blues, orange, violet, etc.) and bursts over korina or mahogany, I would really love to see them. Thanks so much.
cmatthes Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 The stock reds Hamer is currently offering are: Red Trans (RT) Cherry Trans (CT) Ruby Red (RR)* only available on Newport Pro Custom Red Trans is more of a straight transparent red (more primary color) and Cherry trans looks like it has a slightly more bluish cast over mahogany - looks a bit darker to me in person.
