New P bass pups in my Fender bullet bass.

Getting a new P bass pickup from Josh.  Plan to save the original pick guard and pickup and put on a replacement.  Does it matter what volume and tone I use?

Any advice.  Never been a pickup swapper, so this is new territory.

500k or 250k?

A quick scan of the internet shows 250k.

Josh is the one to ask... generally single coil 250 humbucker 500.... stacked pups are 500 also... but Josh has the correct answer!

250k is the right value and that's what's in those Bullet basses. No need to change or upgrade them unless they are broken.
