I live in Sheffield UK and am thinning down my guitar collection.
back in around 1980 I tried a Chaparral custom at Music Ground in Doncaster and was hooked.
I purchased this ( Black one, but was turquoise metallic) and within 6 months I had purchased another (blue one) and had a Californian custom on order (white one).
I played all 3 extensively throughout the 80s and 90s and the turquoise one got resprayed black , the blue one had a Joe Satriani FRED PU fitted but I think I still have the original somewhere.
The Californian is all original. Ser 128244
they all have mahogany body straight through necks with ebony and mop boomerangs.
condition wise they have all held up really well, the black one has a paint crack on the back of the head stock that appeared a week after I purchased it , Music Ground took it back , kept it a month then gave it me back saying they had had it professionally checked and it was just the paint !!
I have no idea except 40years later and it’s still fine .
The long and curlies is, I haven’t played them for years so thought someone from the Hamer fan club may be searching for such tools .
I would rather them go to a fan than just pop them on eBay.
send me a message if anyone is interested and we can discuss,
I have just tried to add pictures, but from my I pad, the size is too large, so if you contact me I will try to figure out how to post pictures.
