There are 4 small pieces of velcro in the corners of the grill, and the grill is easy to remove.  There are a set of $40 speakers on amazon that some say improve the sound quite a bit (I swapped mine, but didn't think it sounded bad to begin with - not much diff imho).  The new models (Dumble and Blues Junior) sound pretty decent and are a free update along with a couple EQs and other stuff.  If I ever traveled anywhere, i'd take my Spark and my Strandberg and would be pretty happy with that rig for practicing.

Thanks Ed. I tried to pull it at some point, it didn't really budge and I started hearing cracking sound, so I figured i'd better stop before I break it in half 😃. Might try speakers swap, just for fun. But agree, as a practice amp it sounds absolutely not bad as it is. Got Katana Air lately as a gift, not a bad thing too, but pricier.

I enjoy my Spark 40 with my head phones in the bed room while my lady is sleeping.

Mine also sounds great through its speakers and with my bass as well.

I dont play it very loud. 9 o'clock on the master and output.

I need to purchase an iPad or Android tablet to unlock it's full capacity.

I recommend it for a nice personal practice amp!

Not that my opinion means much.
