Hamer Centaura Logo-Decal measurements

M-G

Question

Hello.

I bought a Hamer Centaura (reverse headstock) whose paint was stripped down by the former owner who didn't know what a treasure he had there. So there's no logo on the headstock anymore. Horrible.
I would like to repaint the guitar and put a logo on the Headstock again.
I already have the logo as a png file, but I don't know the right measurements. Knowing the height of the fonts could be enough.
Could somebody help me out?

Thank you in advance and regards

They won't know the exact sizing for a Centaura headstock though.

Ah, yes.  Good point.  I can measure the logo on mine once I get home later today.

ETA:  the OP could also estimate the dimensions using this photo:

Thx so far.
I could take a photo of my Hamers headstock and just play around with the logo-size in photoshop. You are right, that's possible. I will keep that in mind. But I'd like to try to find out the right font size first.
Thx for the link. I read that Hamer used dry transfer for their logos. But only now I know what that means. :)
I'll try to find a (dry-transfer) decal-maker here in Germany.
Haven't decided yet in which color I'd like to paint the Hamer.
Originally it was the black/white granite paint. I think I'll go with a nice plain color, maybe metal flake.
Have to sleep some more nights about that.

I have a Centaura personal project I should probably wrap up. I had some Hamer logos kicking around that were probably a smidge larger than what was originally on there but I said fuck it, it's definitely an improvement to how it was when I got it.

Oh yeah, anyone have a black truss rod cover for a Centaura? 😄FB_IMG_1637527189964~3.jpg

1990 centaura

Left Edge of H right edge of USA 4.225 in, top to bottom of H 3/4 of an inch, I did not measure the dropped R as my strings are in the way

That's awesome and everything I need to know. When I stretch the decal in Photoshop to the right width, the height of the letters will automatically adjust.
Thank you very much, Cboss!

Just a short update: the new paintjob will take a little bit longer than expected. Unexpected expenses. The Hamer has to wait.
But instead of paying $30 I just bought transfer ribbon (decal foil) for $3.90 inkl. shipping costs and printed the logo myself.
Highest settings on my printer regarding the printing quality and it looks awesome.
A luthier that will paint my guitar is building and selling guitars himself and he's doing it the same way for years now.
He just told me not to use any clearcoat (on the transfer ribbon) myself. He wants to use his own lacquer.
I printed multiple logos just in case. Could be damaged when affixed.
The U.S.A letters look a little bit thinner than on your headstocks.

Thanks again for the measurements.

I will show the guitar here as soon as it's finished.
