serial Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Damn! Where were all you Strat guys a month ago! That looks awesome-I'm having a body done to put together a '60s Strat replica and that looks just like what I would have been happy with. Nice.
mattb Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 That is badass! I wish the taxman was leaving me alone this year.
DavidE Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 A certificate of Authenticity? For a forgery? That's funny. ;-)
jerseydrew Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 A certificate of Authenticity? For a forgery? I know that might seem funny, but it's true. RS Guitarworks does some fine work. A lot of people know it. I happen to have an RS Guitarworks Tele that I absolutely love. The COA just proves it was made by them. It matters to some people and not to others. To each his own.
vockins Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 A certificate of Authenticity? For a forgery? Do Hamer Vectors come with a COA?
hamersandstrats Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 A certificate of Authenticity? For a forgery? Do Hamer Vectors come with a COA?He shoots.....He scores!
serial Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I think that the thing here on the COAs is that there is a certain "snob appeal" or inherent value increase to some of these replicas made by outfits like RS, Nash, Lentz, etc and with the Casters being so easily made from combined parts, the pedigrees seem to enhance not only value but the ability to sell these guitars.Agreed that the concept is a little amusing, but it actually seems to make a difference on some of the copy Strats.
