FS: '70 SF Twin Reverb

1970 Fender silverface Twin Reverb. This is the desirable non-master-volume model with factory tilt-back legs. No casters (Fender didn't caster these until '72 and beyond).

Recently new-tubed and fully serviced (including new, longer and more robust three-prong power cable) by our beloved Cajun Boy, meaning it's good for 50 years or so. He'll probably pipe in the details of his service job. He also replaced the factory red jewel light with a cute purple one (buyer can pick factory red or cute purple).

Very good condition, average wear for a 36-year old amp, one peck in the original nicotine'd nicely grille cloth about the size of a pencil eraser. The only issue is it's missing the top back panel but those are readily available on the Web.

Here's a quick photo...

I will sell this for $675 plus shipping. Be warned now, this amp weighs around 75 pounds so shipping and adequate insurance will not be cheap. That's why I've priced this amp below current market value.

My gear transactions with just HFC members are too many to count.

I will not ship outside the CONUS and I will take PayPal. I'll probably ship UPS and this one will be packed with Cajun Boy's assistance, meaning it will survive pretty much any shipping shenanigans (reasonable and beyond) it could encounter.

No trades right now.

I can be contacted at natchbureau AT hotmail DOT com

Woah! I thought you loved this bad boy? I need a fender in the arsenal but i can't swing it right now. Good luck with the sale.

BTTT...I can't believe no one's hit this amp for the price - with shipping factored in it's still a lowball.

Just trying to keep this one in the family plus avoid eBay.

Dan will be truly be the "man" at the upcoming HFC Jam if he scores the Twin.

I'm seeing a tandem amp rig with the '81 Marshall 4104 on the left and the Twin on the right.....

I'll be able to hear it down here in Alabama when he cranks it........

E-mail backacha Dan!

I assure any interested parties that the Twin, when pushed, never leaves you buried in the mix.

He ain't comin' to the jam. Which bodes well for me and my hearing, because at one of the previous jams he dimed a cleanish Fender-style amp with a fraction of the wattage of a Twin (a Fullertone) and blew out one of my fucking eardrums.

Well in that spirit, the next time we jam together I'm gonna go back to leaving my string ends uncut at the headstock so I can jam one of 'em in your goddamn eyeball.

I can vouch for this. At the recent Cajun Jam, where things got loud, the Twin was the pretty much teh alpha male in the volume department. However at one point, a handful of Bogner volume knob evened the score, but it was way the fuck too loud by then.
