DaveL Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Good book. I have it. The brains behind the operation.
kizanski Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Thanks for the heads up. I just finished it, and I don't think much of a spoiler alert is needed before mentioning that it's pretty sad. He begins by mentioning that he's dying of cancer, so that coupled with the fact that he's long since passed away, you're not expecting a happy ending. I had expected that Johnny "wrote" this book with a ghost writer, but it was soon apparent that he had not. Johnny writes much as he played guitar; quickly and directly to the point. No fluff or wasted time. Very refreshing, really. Kind of what you would expect from a man intent on telling his story before he dies.
