This "HAMER" logo in 1988 ?

It's a good question because the stadium logos were in full swing back then if my memory serves me correctly. That log is mos def not a stadium logo. lol! It looks to be placed a little high to me, but it's probably fine... is the serial number correct? It should be stamped on the back of the maple neck. Check the database here and see if it comes up.

Serial number is correct for an '88. The logo looks a little small, but may have been a transitional one or something. My '89 and '90 both had the larger logos, but who knows?

I think the price is more in line of where things were 2-3 years ago (in that condition and without an original case), as they've come down considerably since 2008, but it's ultimately whatever a buyer is willing to pay, and we often see one-off sales buck trends.

My old Cali elite (custom back then I believe - non bookmatched solid figured maple body) is an 88 and it has a small logo - I think that probably although it was stadium logos predominantly - some of the guitars would have been finished using whatever decal was available. I've seen both on guitars of the same age - Jem, does hat sound right?

It does seem to be specific to some, but not all, from '88. I've always thought it might have something to do with Paul parting ways with the company or it might just be as simple as someone forgot to order the big one's, i've never really looked too deep to find out.
