Very, Very Good Point. The tonal difference can't be heard by simply plucking an open string. The fretboard, frets, and inlays don't come into play here. I'm talking no amp, just acoustically. I Definitely here a difference in two of my Fender basses that have exactly the same neck and body wood. except for one having a rosewood board and the other being all maple. Both have the same neck shape, & both have alder wood bodies. If I pluck an open string they sound the same. When I play them, I hear a difference.

So great to hear people are enjoying the book. We did put a lot of work into it. I thought it turned out well, but it's nice to have some confirmation. The next one will let us get in all those things we couldn't work in to this one. I NEVER sit long enough to read a book, and I started it late last night. I had to stop or I'd never get to sleep. It's a first rate book by any standard. And the photos are incredible. It's just a Great Book!

You literally have to open an email account with the username "jackass" on every domain name to ensure yours doesn't get used by someone trying this shit. Even then they can hack into your account. As someone said earlier, let's see if we can find their IP address and see who did this.

Exactly. Steve is one of the authors and not the publisher. He doesn't know who ordered, or what the order #'s are. The publisher has the books made and sends the them directly to the buyer. Or Amazon does, if you ordered from them.
