  1. Speaking of "The Book", it's June, and you know what That Means
  2. I'm glad I started this topic. It's great to see all the cool pics and hear all the stories. It's nice to say we all have this to enjoy. I don't think there's a more interesting company history when it comes to custom builds, stories, behind the scenes documentation and just plain fun stories, than what came out of Hamer in the last nearly 40 years. More firsts, innovative designs, ideas and custom guitars came from Hamer, than any other guitar company.
  3. Hey, you forgot the TR cover!
  4. Mr. J.A.'s interpretation of a smooth glass finish:
  5. Is Northfield Gary Pirro? No. Damn And I was this close
  6. I think Tom is heavier set and did a lot of the inlay work and neck carves. I think
  7. Jackass here is Todd & Newman60 is Dave Brown. Am I right?
  8. Is that Lou's? - Austin yup Is that a Watson with a regular headstock?
  9. Yeah I know. The whole reason for this thread was for all of us to enjoy works in progress past. Anyone who has pics, please contribute.
  10. Dave Brown stamping 9 56389 into the neck.
  11. Love's B-minor, and turns every finish into glass!
  12. Hey! These guys built My 12ver!! Part of the finest crew ever to built a guitar or bass.....THANK YOU!
  13. Cool! Here's a shot of mine.
  14. If any of you have photos of your Hamer being built, post them here. This is as much a peek into the process of the build, as it is a tribute to the guys that built these great guitars and basses. Dave Brown aka Newman60?
  15. I'm looking at your profile pic & I have a sudden urge to play checkers.
  16. Sounds like a fair deal No?
  17. Sure. And the first model would be: The NEWMAN60 w/Jackass-slammer pickups
  18. It's all very simple really (says in a proper English accent). If all the members of the HFC put in an equal share, we could buy Hamer (or at least the rights to the name) from the Flender Mucosal Inflammation Corp.
  19. This thing is absolutely insane! Over the top gorgeous!
  20. Great color on that one. Yeah they're heavy, and takes a lot of getting used to curving your fingers around the neck to hit the octave strings. Play around with the pickups a bit before you change them. If you do, look into Bartolini pickups. www.bartolini.net As for the big toggle, switching between pickups is a quick way to change the sound without twiddling with the volume knobs.
