jeffr; Gig Harbor is at least 45 minutes from SeaTac, which would leave you very little time for gear geeking and bean eating. It would be very cool for you to make it, but any traffic or a long line at security and you'd likely miss your flight. I vote the 27th! (unless we could combine it w/ my Moms birthday party? ).
